Steven Foster, one of America's great botanical photographers, will host a workshop to Blue Springs Garden on Saturday May 16th.

Steven Foster is one of the most renowned and respected botanical photographers working today. A respected name in things herbal, with over 34 years of experience, Steven, is an author, photographer, and consultant specializing in medicinal and aromatic plants. He is the author of 15 books and serves on the editorial boards of several magazines including, Herbs for Health, and HerbalGram.

This field workshop will begin with a lecture as Steven shares tips and knowledge from his many years of experience in botanical photography. Then will provide an opportunity for hands on assistance as the workshop moves onto the grounds of the Blue Spring Gardens and Heritage Center. This course is geared toward photographers interested in macro and botanical photography who have some experience with digital imaging. Workshop fee includes admission to the gardens.

There are over a mile of trails winding through the Blue Spring Heritage Center, filled with colors, textures and the surprise of blooms in every season. The new gardens demonstrate crops, plants, flowers and healing herbs at home in the Ozarks. Be sure to bring your photographic equipment including tri-pod.
